Student Response Worksheets

Every Monday a new set of student response worksheets will be published along with our weekly Notes from the Trail. These worksheets are one of the best ways to focus students attention as they search our updates and complete the worksheet. The worksheets are available in to levels Lower Elementary and Upper Elementary.

Intro Letter from Dave

This is a letter from Dave Freeman, the expedition leader, to students welcoming them to the expedition and asking for their help as Dave and Amy kayak around Lake Superior.

Water Conservation Lesson Plans and Links

Below are our favorite Water Conservation activities designed to educate students about water and motivate them to use less.

Water Conservation lesson plan from Penn State University Good lesson plan for lower elementary, which could easily be adapted to other age levels. Use this lesson in combination with Water Conservation with the Water Lion!

The water related resources for students and teachers section of the US EPA website is full of good information and activities for k-12 students.

Water Use it Wisely: Education Tools and Links. This site is full of water conservation information and links to additional resources.

Water Use it Wisely: 100 Ways to use less water. This page allows you to choose the region where you live and then provides you with 100 ways you can save water.
