About the Wilderness Classroom
The Wilderness Classroom Organization (WCO) is a non-profit organization that strives to engage, excite, and motivate students and teachers using an interactive technology-based learning model that draws upon peoples' innate curiosity and desire for exploration.
Each year members of the Wilderness Classroom conduct 1 or 2 live expeditions that are run by over 30,000 3rd to 8th grade students who use the internet to interact with the explorers and help them make decisions as the expedion unfold.
Before and after each adventure team members travel to schools through out the midwest to talk with students in person about their experiences.
